Kylie Toms - Principal:

I started dancing when I was 5 years old. Since then, dance has been apart of my life, either when I have been dancing or when I am teaching. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher of dance. Dance is the biggest passion of my life. I have always loved to dance.

Over the years I have competed in many competitions and won many awards. One particular highlight is achieving 3rd place at the South Pacific Dance Championships out of over 100 competitors. I have performed with choreographers such as David Atkins and Diane Heaton, performing in the Winfield Cup NRL grand final performances for three years.

I performed in Pantomimes such as Wilma the Witch And Babies in Toy-Land. I am a fully qualified teacher in Tap, Jazz and Ballet and have obtained my Advance level in these genres (A.D.A ADV - formally F.A.T.D). I am proud of of what I have achieved and look forward to successfully celebrating in our 30th year of dance in 2025 and seeing what lies beyond.

Lorraine McKerihan - Assistant Teacher

I started dance at the age of 3 and have had a love for dance my whole life. Teaching dance and seeing all the students grow and become confident through dance just makes me smile from ear to ear. As a child I danced in many competitions, pantomimes and shows at the local shopping centres. I also participated in dancing for the Queen when she opened Darling Harbour in the 80’s. I always looked up to Miss Kylie. She remains an amazing dancer and I loved being her student in the early days of KTD - starting with her in 1996 and becoming her first ever student of the year. When Miss Kylie started KTD (Formally KT Dancers) I was ecstatic to be an assistant teacher as well as a member of the senior troupe. While dancing and working with Miss Kylie, I completed my certificates in teaching with Australasian Dance Association (formally Federal Association of Teachers of Dance) in Jazz and Ballet. I also love being students’ cheerleader and building confidence, resilience and joy in each child and watching them grow into amazing humans.
